NEIL HITCHCOCK
Our Chief Broker. Currently consulting with us from the UK, Neil possesses more insurance designations than there are letters in the alphabet. With 30 years of industry experience, Neil came on board in November of 2021 and his impact was immediately noticeable, sharing with the team his exhaustive knowledge base, deep humour and wise counsel.
KURT BOUNDS
Our man in Chicago, Kurt joined us in 2020 originally, bringing on board energy, experience and determined talent for finding MGA captives or specialty programs seeking support for their journey from concept to capacity.
Haleigh Martin
A Bermudian, Haleigh joined us in 2024 after graduating with a Masters in Organizational Psychology from City University London. Working in London, she brings and outstanding organizational abilities psychological insight and a natural interest in people, make her a perfect fit for the re/insurance sector.

Carraic joined the team in 2025; A natural entrepreneur with energy, original perspectives and grit who grew up in Bermuda with a familiarity of the island’s Re/Insurance world.

Grenville combines a social nature with a business-centered mentality. He works mainly in structuring fronting and reinsurance solutions for MGA partners, helping position clients for long term growth. He also works in the facultative property markets in London and Bermuda. He has strong relationships across the US program market, Lloyds and Bermuda based reinsurers, enabling effective placement and execution of fronting and reinsurance for delegated authority and program business.
Grenville is a key member of the team bringing skill, dynamic thought and enthusiasm to every conversation and transaction.

Neil’s depth of skills includes broad management, strategic advisory, production, placement, and client servicing capabilities across property & casualty and life & health lines of (re)insurance.
Neil has a proven track record in:
- Structuring captive, self-insurance, and other alternative risk transfer solutions for (re)insurance clients.
- Securing capacity for many MGAs and Lloyd’s coverholders in the UK and overseas.
- Taking start-up companies in the UK, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands from conception through to funding, incorporation, licensing, and operation.
- Serving as CEO of both Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s brokers in the UK and Bermuda.

Kurt has deep roots in MGA sales, marketing and broking experience. His senior expertise is invaluable in Island Intermediaries LLC, our own US intermediary broker which he manages. His role is to seek new clients and contacts with disciplined underwriting and compelling market stories and assist with the development of re/insurance solutions for clients new and old.
Kurt has a proven track record in:
- Enhancing revenue and streamlining business operations
- Leading specialty insurance companies to a 20% year over year revenue growth
- Working with US based Independent Brokers and MGA’s developing programs
- Leading teams to over $50M in new business sales

Haleigh works mainly on facultative and specialist broking projects. In addition, she brings clear thoughtful intelligence and sharp focus to operational and client accounting. Haleigh is pursuing the ACCA Accounting designation and is part way through the ARe. As a team, we see her growing in the financial aspects of the business, both for clients and for the operation. We look forward to watching her thrive and mature within Bermuda Broker’s supportive and fast-paced environment.

While earning a First from UAL, Carraic built a jewellery business in London and Paris tailored to the needs of the fashion industry. Through this front-line experience, he developed into a strong creative problem-solver who understands the value of communication and maintaining every spinning plate.
He is learning our trade from the ground up and listening closely to clients and colleagues to understand what each needs. With his CPCU and ARe studies progressing quickly, he is exactly the sort of team player we love to develop at Bermuda Brokers.
